Flash has been one of the best and fun filled technologies on the Web for years. It powered (and still does) the majority of online video and games, and a lot of companies often built their websites with Flash in order to provide some cool animations to deliver their marketing material.

 

The Final Chapter

Flash ruled the web multimedia market for years but the process of making Flash work on mobile devices was slow, and Apple's Steve Jobs infamous refusal to support it on the iPhone or iPad has finally struck it a fatal blow.

Adobe finally announced that they will stop building new versions of its Flash technology for smartphone browsers. Currently only Android based phones support this technology and from our experience, its not worth it. Flash uses a lot of resources and kills (already horrible) battery life of android devices.  Several security concerns have also been raised with mobile flash.

Microsoft also announced that the Internet Explorer 10 Metro will not support Flash plugin.  This is bad news for Flash Developers who are scattering everywhere to learn new skills and find different work.
